I am praying for a best friend who, enjoys laughter, isnt afraid to talk and share his feelings, someone really special that is loving and understands men and women are different and our needs are different, we will respect each other, and strive to understand each other and laugh at our silly mistakes. We will support one another in hard times, and love each other through them. We will have a relationship so full of trust that that bond wont be broken by small insecurities. We will know where we stand and that is in each others arms. My best friend and I will enjoy traveling together, getting to know each others families good and bad and respecting them. We will communicate our feelings openly and honestly. We will enjoy outdoor activities as well as quiet moments together at home chatting about our day, or kids, families, etc. My best friend, will love me unconditionally as I will love him unconditionally. We respect the fact that we both are human and will make mistakes, but both of us will talk about them, and grow from them. We will give each other needed space to be independant and free to enjoy who we are as individuals as well as a couple. God will be our center focus, and we will use him as our guide through our good times and bad. We will pray together, and have friendships with supportive God fearing people that understand the importance of him in our lives.

I have often asked myself, what do I need to do to be a good partner. I think over time I have learned to be a good partner, we must not be self seeking, but yet set healthy boundries. It is important to know what you want out of life and not except less then that. It is okay to be who you are and to accept others for who they are. Being a good partner does not involve control or dominance, being a good partner consists of freedom to love by choice. I want a partner who loves me by choice. Who wants to be with me by choice, and yet who knows who he is and will work hard to achieve it. A good partner will be the Apple of both of our eyes, attractive, someone who takes good care of themselves emotionally first and of course physicallly. A good parent figure, someone who is respected by others but most importantly me, as I would hope they would respect me also.
